Mohammad Khalilzadeh

MSc Computer Engineering candidate @ Raja University. Technical Lead @ BlueWave Labs / VerifyWise. Researcher in trustworthy AI, AI governance, and regulatory compliance automation.

I am an AI & GRC Researcher and Computer Engineer working at the intersection of trustworthy machine learning, AI governance, and software engineering. My research focuses on building verifiable, auditable, and regulation-aligned AI systems that can be deployed and maintained in production environments.

I am currently completing my M.Sc. in Computer Engineering at Raja University (under Dr. Afsaneh Jalalian), where my thesis introduces VerifyWise — an open-source platform that democratizes AI governance by mapping the EU AI Act, ISO 42001, ISO 27001, and NIST AI RMF into executable compliance controls.

As Technical Lead at BlueWave Labs / VerifyWise, I architect the VerifyWise platform, define engineering standards, and lead a distributed team building the data models, risk registers, vendor governance workflows, and audit reporting tools needed for real-world AI compliance.

Previously, I worked as a full-stack developer across startups and NGOs, founded TradeMaster (a location-based e-commerce and financial-news platform), and co-authored work on deep-learning methods for bioinformatics. I am also an advocate for open-source software, technical mentorship, and bridging the gap between research and production.
